Kottarakkara: 25 km. from Kollam Kottarakkara Ganapathi Temple The birth
place of Kathakali. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ganapathi (elephant face
God). The temple is also famous for Kottarakkara Unniappam. A rare sweet food.
Kottarakkara Kathakali Museum: Kottarakkara Thamburan Kathakali Museum, is
the memorial of Kottarakkara Thamburan (King) the father of the Kathakali.
Exhibited various models of Kathakali, Kathakali classes and ornaments, rare
musical instruments, sculptures, models of mohiniyattam and other classical
dances, 108 natya Kiranangal (Dance Sings) etc.

Aryankavu: 80 km from Kollam Ariyankavu is a beautiful hill area. The famous
Sastha Temple is situated here. The place is a Hindu Pilgrim centre. Bordilon's
teak plantation, Ariyankavu Bordilon, the first forest conservate of
Thiruvithamcoor. He use firstly in the world teak stump to the teak plantation
in 1891. The teak plot is a part of Eco-Tourism Palaruvi Waterfalls 5 km from
Ariyankavu. The water falls gets the name as it gives an impression of flowing
milk.
Achencovil: 95 km from Kollam Is an hilly area. Basically Achencovil is a
main Hindu pilgrim center in Kerala. Achencovil Sastha temple is one of the five
Sastha temples in Kerala. Achencovil is also a Eco-Tourist place. Trekking is an

Manalarkadu: (Manalar Forest) 12 km. from Achencovil Seson - June to August
In Manalar forest you contact to the nature. Trekking and other travels facility
