1. Edakal Caves (Ambukutty Hills) The magnificant caves are 3 km from Ambalavayal and 28 km from kalpetta. The two Edakkal Caves. natural rock cut out formations formed by a large split in a huge rock, roofed over by other rocks, all fixed in position through natural process. The pre-historic carvings on the rock wall are an archaeologist and historians delight.

2. Banasura Sagar Dam 21 km from Kalpetta. kalpetta- Chundale- Tariyod- Pandinharathara- Banasura Sagar Dam. It is the largest earth dam in India. Due to the undulating topography of the region, islands are formed in the upstream of the dam when the dam is full. the islands in the backcrop of banasura hills provide a spectacular secnic view.

3. Chembrapeak Near Mippady town, 15 km from kalpetta It is the highest peak in the District. The hill is suitable for trekking. The District Tourism Promotion Council Provides guides, sleeping bags, canvases, heats and trekking implements on hire. Hight - 1640 to 6562 feet. Main road route : kalpetta-chundale-Meppadi- chembrapeak.

4. Glass temple of kottumude 20 km from kalpetta on the stope of vellanimala. The beautiful temple is dedicated to parsunatha swami (3rd Thirthankara of the Jain faith).

5. Kalpetta 72 km north-west of kozhikode Surrounded by thick growth of coffee plantations. There are many important jain temples around the town.

6. Ananthanatha Swami temple, Puliyarmala. 6 km from kalpetta. It is dedicated to Ananthanatha Swami, one of the jain sage.

7. Santhi natha Temple, Venniyod 20 km from kalpetta. The temple is dedicated to the saint santhinatha swami

8. Kuruva Island 17 km east of Mananthavadi 950 area. On the river kabani there islands have rich herbs, orchids and various species of flowers, animals and birds. Route: kalpetta-Mananthavadi (35km)- kuruva.

9. Lakkidi Located 5km south of Vayithiri Lakkidi is the Gate way of Wayanad. It is one of the highest location in the district. Is a place of great scienic beauty with picturesque hills, glittering streams and etc. Lakkidi has registered the 2nd highest rainfall in the World.

10. Pazhassi Tourist Resort, Mananthavadi 35km from kalpetta. Above 500m high It is an ideal Tourist resort. A good aquarium situated here. Boating facilities are available here.
